We are looking for a group of young people aged 8 to 11 years, who would like to get involved in learning to make music. We meet once a week on Thursdays from 4.30-5.30pm at Bersted Green Learning Centre.

Improve your listening skills while making noise!

Get creative with instruments and start communicating with rhythm.

Improve your group skills by working together to create a rhythmic performance using bongos, wood blocks, cow bells, anything you can make a sound with – even your body!

Rhythm Sticks will help you to remember rhythms, improve your concentration and even your co-ordination!

How?

  • You have to listen to your teacher and to each other to keep in time with the group
  • You have to be responsible for your own rhythm and remember different rhythms
  • You have to talk to each other
  • Each week you will be more confident using different instruments and working in a group with other people
